How To Promote Your Facebook Page
Posted on 26th August 2022
Facebook can be a great place for business owners to do their social media marketing successfully. With so many tools available for businesses on Facebook, you can really make use of what’s available to build your business’ presence on Facebook, bringing you a new audience, more engagement, reach and potential new sales.
If you’re looking to promote your Facebook Business Page, then here are some tips to help you get started.
Personalise and Perfect Your Page and Your Content
The first thing you need to do is make sure all of your personal details are filled out on your business page. This lets the audience know what your business is about, where you’re located and how they can contact you. This information is the basic information needed on all social media channels, as it will help people to find out more about your business, and let them learn more about you.
You also need to personalise your posts to relate to your target audiences’ interests, in order to get them engaging with you. If you receive comments, respond to them in a timely manner, and start conversations in order to build up a relationship with your audience.
Your content needs to be high quality, from the copy to the graphics you use. Are you videos in HD? Are your graphics easy to read? Is your visual content clear? This will help your business appear more professionally. The same goes for your post copy – it needs to be concise, without mistakes and understandable. If you use industry terms, explain them. Your audience needs to be on the same page as you, and may feel a little alienated if you’re using terminology that they don’t understand in your posts.
Finish your posts with a CTA (Call To Action). This will direct the audience on what to do next, whether it’s to visit a website to continue reading a blog, or to go and consider buying the product/service you have on offer. CTA’s are important, as they keep the audience engaging with your business, instead of letting them read your content and then scrolling past.
Join A Facebook Group
Facebook Groups are great places for you to advertise your business. Identify a few target markets that would be ideal for your business to advertise in, and begin sharing your posts and interacting with other users within these groups. Make sure you check the group rules to see if you’re allowed to advertise in these groups, and if so, start engaging with the members.
The groups you join need to have some relation to your business. From broader groups in the local area to specific groups that match your industry, you’re going to need to find which groups would be best for your business. You wouldn’t join a group about accounting if your business is to do with sports, so make sure you’re finding your target audience in the places they most likely to be in.
You can create your own Facebook group when you have a good audience size, and offer exclusives in this group. This will help you build up relationships with the most loyal customers, and the promise of giving access to behind-the-scenes content, tips, advice and exclusive information will make people more interested to join and see what your private Facebook group is about.
Promote On Other Social Media
Use your other social media to promote your Facebook page. Post a link to your page, some images and give some information about it. Also ask your friends and family to share your page on their social media accounts so you can reach audiences outside of your close, personal circle of family and friends.
Be Consistent
Consistency is key to keeping your audience engaged. Making sure you have a schedule will help you stick to posting on the days your audience are most active. You need to tell people if your schedule changes, so that it doesn’t come as a shock. Consistency also extends to graphics – use the same colours, fonts and styles in your graphics and let your audience know if you have any planned changes.
Promoting your business on Facebook when your first start out ca take time, but when you start to build an audience, you will begin to find that your promotion tactics are working. Begin promoting today and see how it can help you.
